Homegirl Mary [formally known as miss frannie]

I love God.
Really love God.
And I am committed to showing him through the way that I live.

I still love movies.
Laughter is still addictive.
I am weirder than ever. But that term has been more specifically defined now that I see the world in a completely different way.

Music is no longer an escape from life as I no longer feel the need to flee the troubles of life, but instead embrace them so that I may become more mature in Christ.

No, music is not an escape, but a gift from God and a way to give thanks to Him.
Hopes, dreams, and desires are no longer secret treasures. These things will not only be revealed through this blog, but they will also become reality for me, so long as my faith is strong.

Love is certainly not a secret. God's love was made painfully apparent to us through His death on a cross. And I will die to my earthly nature every day so that His love will shine through me. Those that don't know love will now have a chance to see it through me, a tool made to emphasize God's glory.

If you throw these things in my face, that's okay. If you don't appreciate me, that's okay. If you don't like what I say on here, that's okay.

I'm not here to please you guys. I'm here to help save lives.

"Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
-Philippians 2: 1-4

“That seems sort of harmless but then it kind of gets a little darker and sort of accuses these young pop artists of being part of this cycle where girls read magazines, feel terrible about themselves ‘cause its says “you should be skinnier, you should be prettier”. They feel terrible, and then these pop stars tell them that they’re perfect and that they’re beautiful and they buy the songs and then the popstar’s on the cover of the magazine so they buy a magazine again and it’s sort of this vicious cycle and I sort of implied he’s working for Satan or whatever.”

Is that Bo?

There are moments, when you’re getting to know someone, when you realize something deep and buried in you is deep and buried in them, too. It feels like meeting a stranger you’ve known your whole life. Leah Raeder, Unteachable  (via dieworten)
